Yak Sold

Yadele is 15mo. old and will be ready for breeding this fall. She is a good size girl from the 'old lines' and she is a granddaughter to our well known royal bull Sherpa H100. Yadele is sweet but a little shy, she likes to hang out but not be the center of attention, she is an easy keeper for sure. She will stand for nose scratches while eating from a bucket. She has been vaccinated and wormed and her IYAK registration is in the works. Yadele can be paired up for breeding with our 2017 bull calf Yose' Cuervo, he will be weaned in Sept. but Yadele can go now if needed and he can catch up later. Yose' himself is a 1/2 to 3/4 wooly and very stocky like his papa Thor Y052. He has Dreadlock lines on both sides of his pedigree. Our goal here is to combine the tall bloodlines of Sherpa and the stocky woolier lines of Thor. Yadele and Yose' will accomplish just that while producing both royals and trims. A 25% deposit will hold one or both. We will deliver within a 150mi. radius or meet and reload from trailer to trailer. All yak sales come with a 5-page Yak Care Guide too!

YODAIR, is a HUGE Native Trim from the old bloodlines with that gorgeous silver dorsal stripe that runs from his hump to his rump!. He is very impressive in looks and stature with massive perfect horns. He will be breeding by late fall no doubt, he is already showing major interest in cows/heifers in heat. If you are thinking of raising a few yaks for meat or show... Yodair is the bull you are looking for, he is built for both! We have personally met his dam Yabet # O111 sire #0112, grandsire #L065 and great grandsire #F105 (the well known Sambo) in the past 18 years and can attest to the size of these guys...probably the biggest we have ever seen! Yodair's maternal grandparents (Yancy & Yabou) were actually born here in 2002 so we know these lines well. Yodair enjoys a good head & ear scratch and to have his eyes rubbed. He is loyal to 'his people' yet will guard his herd from predators and trespassers! Yodair can be paired up with our 6/5/2017 Imperial Trim heifer calf Yama Guchi 2E002. (Thor Y056 & Yoyo K004) Yama also has Sambo F150 in her pedigree from her dam's side, and BOTH can be linked back to Sargent Pepper C001...the first yak ever registered with IYAK and...imported from Can! Yama is tame, gentle and stands brushing and head scratches! NOTE; I have arranged for yet another 6/11/2017 heifer calf to go with Yodair and Yama. RLY Missy is also a Imperial Trim and extremely friendly. Missy's IYAK Registration is being processed, she is a B2 which means when bred to a full foundation yak like Yodair, her offspring will be full foundation as well. Her sire is Kahn Z189 and her dam is Clover 2C164 This starter herd was created for another client that had to back out at the last minute. We have discounted the 3 of them for $5800. Yodair can go now if you already have yaks, Yama and Missy will be ready mid -late Oct. 25% down will hold them until delivery or pick up. All 3 have been vaccinated and wormed, and the heifers will have their Bangs vax as well. Please email or call Lynda Gehring at 719-495-9155. High Country Critters in Colo. Spgs., CO.

Yose' Cuervo is the name of this little guy. Here at High Country Critters, all yak calves have a 'Y' name, that has been OUR trade mark for 17 years running. Yose' was born 3/30/17 to our 'very large' Native Trim girl Yenna (R076), she is a 1/2 wooly and our herd bull Thor (Y052) is a 3/4 wooly Royal, so Yose' should be not only very large, but a good fiber producer and pass that down to his offspring. His great grand sire on both sides is the famous Dreadlock (F199) "Wooliest yak in North America". Yose' is pretty special... he is the 8th calf born to Yenna and her first ever' Royal' bull calf!!! He was handled at birth, is accustomed to human interaction on a daily basis and LOVES to have his butt scratched! He will make someone a nice, safe herd bull or pasture pet to be around some day. Yose' will be IYAK registered, vaccinated & wormed prior to leaving us, and comes with a 5-page Yak Care Guide! We will deliver within a 150mi. radius, or meet and reload calves into your trailer. We give a discount for multiple calves purchased and for repeat buyers! Many references available upon request Note; we DO NOT sell yaks for meat/slaughter

OMG...is this a dog or a yak calf?!? Talk about tame and friendly, this little guy will steal your heart in a' heart beat'! Keeping our trade mark 'Y' names going (17 yrs. now) we have named this little guy YOHNNY B. GOODE after the Chuck Berry song written in 1958. Yohnny, is too tame... at first he couldn't decide if he wanted to a human or a yak! He loved me (Lynda) from the moment he met me at 1.5 hrs old! Mike and I had to distance our selves from him for the first 10 days so he would realize he needs to stick with his mama Yukalaylee (A031) and quit looking for me/us. Of course it didn't help that I would give him body rubs or brush him every chance I had. He loves to be brushed and will follow you around begging for more. Yohnny was born 4/3/17, his mama Yukalaylee (A031) is a granddaughter to our first and famous herd bull Sherpa H100, who was known to throw very tame and gentle calves. Yukalaylee is very tame herself and her mama Maya (P036) was born a twin (sisters), so we secretly hope to see twins ourselves someday. Yohnny will be IYAK registered, vaccinated and wormed prior to leaving us, and comes with a 5-page Yak Care Guide! We deliver within a 150mi. radius, or meet and reload calves into your trailer. We give a discount for multiple calves purchased and for repeat buyers! Many references available upon request. NOTE as of 6/2017, we have a sale pending on Yohnny

This little guy born 5/5/17 is named YOTIS REDDING after the famous songwriter who sang Shout Bamalama in the movie Animal House! Yotis is a good looking, well built little guy just like his papa Thor (Y052). Surprisingly the markings on his face are perfectly symmetrical from side to side, which emphasis that nice triangle shaped head we all desire in a herd bull. Yotis was born to our Yahoo Bloo (T081) who is a Sherpa (H100) granddaughter. Yotis like both his parents) is tame and friendly and accustomed to human contact several times a day. He enjoys a good head and butt scratch but if you scratch his chest... he lays down on the spot and wants an all over body rub! He will make someone a gorgeous herd bull or pasture pet someday. Yotis will be IYAK registered, wormed and vaccinated prior to leaving us and comes with a 5-page Yak Care Guide! We will deliver within a 150mi. radius or meet and reload calves into your trailer. We give a discount for multiple calves purchased and for repeat buyers. 25% down will hold your calf today. Many references available upon request. NOTE; at this time we can create a breeding pair with Yotis and a yearling heifer calf!!! "We don't sell yaks for meat or slaughter".

Thor's pedigree goes back to the original yaks that were imported into the US from Canada. Thor is 3/4 wooly so he adds some fiber to each calf. Yuper is a social boy and loves to be scratched and brushed. He is a tame friendly yak like his brothers and sisters before him. Yuper will be registered with IYAK as a full foundation yak, he will be vaccinated and wormed prior to leaving. All buyers will receive a 5 page Yak Care Guide once a deposit has been paid. Yandre' is a true people lover, he follows Mike everywhere....we have to keep reminding him that he is a Yak and needs to stay with his mama Yenna R076. He loves to have his ears rubbed and to be brushed....yup, so does papa Thor. Yandre' is a line breeding on Dreadlock and will do that line proud. He is a herd bull waiting to happen! His mama is our Yukalaylee A031 she is a Sherpa granddaughter...a special gift from my special friend Patty at Pattyyaks whom we lost in 2013. Yosemite Sam 2I006 is the name of this pretty little guy. He has a flawless pedigree going back 5+ generations (no unknown relatives). Yosemite is pretty unique looking as well, he has that gorgeous triangle head with a full white face and lots of curls to boot. He is going to have a set of massive horns judging by the size of his horn nubbins! Yosemite will look a lot like his papa Thor Y052 and his mama Yoseanne 2E132 is a beautiful Imperial Trim and a great fiber producer. Yosemite loves pets and scratches and will stand for brushing. He will be a sweetheart of a herd bull someday. I can easily create a breeding pair or starter herd with Yosemite...the girls will love him!

Yuber XL 2I003 is not only named after the 'car share ride' in the extra large size, but he should grow into that description. This breeding has been repeated several times and the bull calves have turned out to be XL like their papa Thor. Here at High Country Critters in Black Forest we have been raising Full Foundation IYAK Registered Tibetan Yaks since 2001. IYAK registration (only $65.00) is crucial in the resale value of yaks and the sales of their offspring, not to mention proof of parentage or inbreeding. Unregistered animals have the value of 'meat animals'. We do not pair up our calves with unregistered stock for breeding pairs or starter herds, we need to research pedigrees to assure we are not contributing to inbreeding. We create herds that can be resold in the future and all of the offspring can be registered as well to bring the best price possible. There are ZERO hybrids in our bloodlines, all yaks go back (on paper) to the first ever imported into the US. We have a small herd of 8 adults and can pet, scratch and brush all of them. Our calves are imprinted the day of birth and are used to the human touch, scratches and brushing often each day. We collect the yak fiber each spring and have sold out every year due to excellent quality. He has the silver dorsal stripe, from his sire and grandsire... and comes straight from the lines of the most famous Yak cow in North America... Queen Allante. She is his great, great, great granddam! She was one of the first yak imported into the US and all the DNA tests done to date on yaks was created off her personal DNA. Yohtani is a friendly boy with striking white markings who will make a huge, impressive herd sire someday, and he likes to be petted and scratched and will stand for light brushing, he will be registered with WHYC just like his sire Thor YO52 and his dam Yoseanne 2E132. The World Heritage Yak Conservancy is dedicated to preserving, promoting, and protecting the heritage yak, a critically endangered breed in North America. Our goal here at HCC is to only breed and produce the true 'pure' yak, as we have for 24 yrs. No hybrids, no inbreeding. Yohtani will make an excellent Foundation herd sire for the serious yak rancher dedicated to the breed. He is weaned, wormed, vaccinated, well socialized and ready to go. We can create starter herds with the help of local ranchers, please call or email for more info on Yohtani. *NOTE* I have found registerable heifers to go with Yohtani... call me.

YU-Haul was born stocky...built like a truck, I could see it in his thick legs and broad triangle shaped head as soon as he stood up for the first time. Those features will show up again when he is mature. He is going to be big like his papa Thor Y052, his dam Yenna R076 shares a common ancestor with Thor named Dreadlock, back 20 some years ago he was known as the "wooliest yak in North America". He probably had something to do with all the wooly yaks there are today. YU-Haul is a flashy royal with perfect markings on his face, he enjoys being around people, being petted and scratched and stands for some light brushing. He will be registered with WHYC just like his sire Thor YO52 and his dam Yenna R076. The World Heritage Yak Conservancy is dedicated to preserving, promoting, and protecting the heritage yak, a critically endangered breed in North America. Our goal here at HCC is to only breed and produce the true 'pure' yak, as we have for 24 yrs. No hybrids, no inbreeding, YU-Haul will make an excellent Foundation herd sire for the serious yak rancher dedicated to the breed. He is weaned, wormed, vaccinated, socialized and ready to go. We can create starter herds with the help of local ranchers, and will deliver for free within a 150mile radius, please call or email for more info on YU-Haul. *NOTE* I have found registerable heifers to go with Yu-Haul...call me.

Yosco P. Coltrane, (from Dukes of Hazard) is my personal buddy of the 2025 calves, he just loves me (Lynda) he follows me around like a dog! He has a nice think coat, plus he is adorable and affectionate! I just wish he could live in the house!!!! He is going to be a drop dead gorgeous bull, he has a nice square frame...great conformation. He should take on the size of his papa Thor YO52, his dam Yulu 2G005 was born here and is a Native trim with lots of bling... white (chest and belly). She goes back to a famous bull named Sargent Pepper C001 who was imported into the US and was the very first yak ever registered with IYAK. Yosco loves to be scratched and brushed, he will lay down when getting his ears rubbed. He will be registered with WHYC just like his sire Thor YO52 and his dam Yulu 2G005. The World Heritage Yak Conservancy is dedicated to preserving, promoting, and protecting the heritage yak, a critically endangered breed in North America. Our goal here at HCC is to only breed and produce the true 'pure' yak, as we have for 24 yrs. No hybrids, no inbreeding, Yosco will make an excellent Foundation herd sire for the serious yak rancher dedicated to the breed. He is weaned, wormed, vaccinated and ready to go. We can create starter herds with the help of local ranchers and will deliver for free within a 150-mile radius, please call or email for more info on Yosco P. Coltrane. *NOTE* I have found registerable heifers to go with Yosco...call me.

This little girl is named YALLE BERRY because she is as cute and beautiful as the famous actress she is named after! Yalle was born 5/26/17 to our favorite cow Yarrow (A033). Yarrow is special to us because she was the 50th and final calf out of our late bull Sherpa (H100) and she inherited his kind nature and love of people as well. We feel very blessed to have her and truly feel she was heaven sent. We have Yarrow's mother and grandmother (18), so little Yalle is a 4th generation here. Yalle is Yarrow's 3rd calf and if she is anything like the first two, she will be a people lover too. She already seeks us out for attention and scratches. She is a half wooly and should put off more fiber than a normal royal. She will be wormed and vaccinated before leaving us and comes with a 5-page Yak Care Guide. We offer discounts for multiple purchases and will deliver within a 150mi. radius or meet and reload calves into your trailer. A 25% deposit will hold your calf today. Note; we don't sell yaks for meat or slaughter. Update, as of 6/27/17 Yalle is sold ($2000.). We still have her sister Yama Guchi!

The name of this little girl is YAMA GUCHI. She is named after the famous skater Christy Yama Guchi. Yama was born 6/5/17 and comes from our most famous bloodline with a pedigree to die for. As you can see her mama Yoyo (K004) is a HUGE Imperial cow...they don't breed them like her anymore. She is from the 'old lines' her great grand father was Sergeant Pepper C001, the FIRST yak ever registered with IYAK and one of the first group imported into the US. Yoyo has bull calves out there that reached 6' tall at the hump! Yama Guchi not only has a 5 generation pedigree, but she will throw calves that will add 'size' to your stock. At just 12 days old, she sticks quite close to mama, but we can still sneak in a good head and butt scratch and can tell she is tempted to follow us for more. She is destined to be a lead cow for some lucky rancher, her size will intimidate the other cows for sure. Yama will be vaccinated, Bangs shot and wormed before leaving us, and comes with a 5-page Yak Care Guide. We will deliver within a 150mi. radius or meet and reload calves into your trailer. A 25% deposit will hold her for you today. NOTE; I have created a starter herd with Yama, Yodair 2D244 a Native Trim yearling bull and Missy another Native Trim heifer born 6/11/17. Missy's IYAK reg. is in process, She is a B2 and when bred to Yodair will produce Full Foundation yaks. Discounted at $5800.00 for all 3. Reserve all 3 today!!!

Yandy-land (after the board game) is the name of this awesome little heifer. Here at High Country Critters all yak calves are given a 'Y' name, it has been our trade mark for 18 years! Yandy was our first 2018 calf, born to our very large Native Trim cow Yenna R076. Yenna is a half wooly and our herd bull Thor Y052 is a 3/4 wooly, so Yandy should be a good fiber producer and pass that on to her offspring. Her great grandsire on both sides is Dreadlock (F199). Yandy is stout and heavy boned, has no white on her face...just a little above each back hoof. She has been handled since birth and accustomed to human interaction on a daily basis and enjoys head scratches and being brushed. She will be IYAK registered, wormed and vaccinated before leaving HCC. We can create either a breeding pair or starter herd with the help of nearby yak ranchers. Calves can be weaned together here prior to hauling. We will deliver within a 150mi. radius, or can help arrange hauling from a nearby trusted source. All yak sales include a 5+ page Yak Care Guide. Many reference available upon request.

'Yunice of York' is the name of this gorgeous little heifer calf born 5/16/18. She is named after a good friend of the late Patty McNall who was the breeder of Yunice's dam.. PY1 Yuka-lay-lee A031. All calves here at HCC have a 'Y' name, that has been our tradition for the past 18 years. Yunice is the great granddaughter of our well known bull Sherpa HIOO and the famous Dreadlock. Her pedigree goes back 6 generations to the first group of yaks imported into the US, she would be an asset to any serious rancher who cares to know the complete history of their yaks as we do. She should put off a fair amount of fiber since her awesome sire Thor Y052 is a 3/4 wooly. Yunice has very unusual markings, her left front leg has a huge black patch on it while her other 3 legs are completely white.... and she has so much black on her face that almost half of her nose and lower lip is black instead of pink like a normal royal. Her markings are almost identical to her mothers....they both have the face of a Black Widow Spider...pretty cool. All calves sold will be IYAK Full Foundation registered, wormed, vaccinated and come with a 5 page Yak Care Guide. We will deliver for free within a 150mi. radius or can arrange delivery with an trusted and well known livestock hauler. We are able to create breeding pairs and starter herds as well, I work with several local ranchers and calves can all come here for weaning prior to hauling. Give me a call and we can yak about yaks! 719-495-9155 Lynda

Yonce' Knowles is the name of this precious little heifer. Her dam is our VERY special Yarrow A031. Yarrow was the last calf produced by the late great Sherpa H100! She is just as tame and gentle as her papa was and each of her calves have turned out that way too. Yonce' should be a good fiber producer too, her papa THOR Y052 is 3/4 wooly and her mama Yarrow is 1/2 wooly. Her pedigree is VERY impressive going back 6 generations on each side to Queen Allante & Wooly Bully who were both imported in the US. She would be a great asset to any serious yak rancher wanting to know their bloodlines to avoid inbreeding... as we do. We have other calves for sale and can work with nearby ranchers to create groups, breeding pairs and starter herds. All calves sold will be IYAK Full Foundation registered, wormed, vaccinated and come with a 5 page Yak Care Guide. We will deliver within a 150mi. radius and hauling with a well known and trusted livestock hauler can be arranged if needed. Give me a call and we can yak about yaks all day. 719-495-9155 Lynda

Yodelay Heehoo is the name of this awesome little heifer. Here at High Country Critters all yak calves are given a 'Y' name, it has been our trade mark for 20 years! Yodelay was our first 2020 calf, born to our very large Native Trim cow Yenna R076. Yenna is a half wooly and our herd bull Thor Y052 is a 3/4 wooly, so Yodelay should be a good fiber producer and pass that on to her offspring. Her great grandsire on both sides is Dreadlock (F199). All the yaks here at HCC have pedigrees that go back to the first yaks imported into the US. That is one of our breed requirements. Yodelay is a spunky cute little thing. This little girl is named Yoplay Partay because she wants to play and party all the time. Here at HCC all the calves are given a "Y" name, it has been our signature for 20 years now. Yoplay was born 4/30/20 to our favorite cow Yarrow (A033). Yarrow is special to us because she was the 50th and final calf out of our late bull Sherpa (H100) and she inherited his kind nature and love of people as well. We feel very blessed to have her and truly feel she was heaven sent. We have Yarrow's mother and had her grandmother till 18, so little Yoplay is a 4th generation yak here. Yoplay is Yarrow's 5th calf and if she is anything like the first 4, she will be a people lover too. She already seeks us out for attention and scratches. She is a half wooly and should put off more fiber than a normal royal. She will be DNA tested, IYAK registered, wormed and vaccinated before leaving us and comes with a 5-page Yak Care Guide. All our yaks here at HCC have pedigrees going back to the first yaks imported into the US. That is one of our breed requirements. We offer discounts for multiple purchases and will deliver within a 150mi. radius or meet and reload calves into your trailer. A 25% deposit will hold your calf today.

Little Yetta James, is from some pretty famous bloodlines....non other than the famous Queen Allante herself who is behind all 4 grand parents. If you didn't know it, QA is the most famous Yak cow of all times. She was imported into the US in the early 80's and all DNA testing used to prove the purest of pure yaks came from her. Yetta's mama is our beautiful MVYR Yoseanne 2E132, a coal black Imperial Trim with just the perfect about of fiber (3/4 wooly is my guess), at this rate you can still salvage all the fiber without it turning into dreadlocks. Her sire, our fabulous and friendly HPY Thor Y052 is a striking royal with that sought after 'triangle head'. He too is a 3/4 wooly so Yetta will be worth her weight in gold when it comes to fiber collecting. Yetta is a spunky, sassy little thing and if you can get her to stand still, she actually enjoys a good butt scratching and a little brushing. She will be DNA tested, IYAK Registered, wormed and vaccinated prior to leaving (ready in Oct.) Please contact Lynda if you'd like to be on Yoseanne's waiting list, can't wait to see what she produces next year!

We purchased KCCH Daisy Duke 2H007 as a weanling heifer calf to create a starter herd. Daisy's dam was out of our 'Sherpa lines' back many, many years ago. In fact her grandmother Yabou and grandfather Yancy were the first calves ever born here at HCC around 2001. Daisy's sire Sunny 0112 is from a very old bloodline and extremely valuable to the IYAK gene pool! We were proud to add her and her half sister Sweet Pea to the package deal of 5 heifer calves. We had Daisy IYAK registered, DNA tested, vaccinated, wormed, hooves trimmed and all brushed out for her new home.

Sweet Pea 2H006 was purchased to create a starter herd. Her mama Yalle Berry 2E004 was actually born here, so Sweet Pea got to go with her half sister (Daisy Duke) and a bunch of her Aunts to their new home in the mountains. Sweet Pea's sire Sunny 0112 is from a famous old foundation bloodline, he is truly an asset to any IYAK pedigree these days. Sweet Pea was IYAK registered, DNA tested, vaccinated, wormed and all brushed out. She is a kind gentle girl and will be a great mama someday!

Little Yasa Doblay 2I004 (named after the dance Casa Doblay) has been a firecracker since day 1. She was born loving people and very curious. She comes up to us constantly for pets, scratches and brushing. She has very unique markings for a royal...her front left leg is almost all black, while her other 3 legs are all white!?! Her mama in our Sherpa granddaughter Yahoo Bloo T081 and her papa (who she just adores) is our very special herd bull Thor Y052. These two yaks throw some of the most beautiful and popular babies we have ever produced. Yasa is truly a joy to have around...she will hug my leg with her head and neck just to get more attention...can you say 'cute as a button'!

Yofia Loren 2I002, is a sharp looking stout little Native Trim girl (personally my favorite color). She is friendly as all get-out, comes up eagerly for head and butt scratches! She is from the famous 'Sargent Pepper' line, he was imported into the US and was the first yak ever registered with IYAK... C001. Yofia is a result (4 generations) of 2 of our foundation yaks purchased over 20 yrs. ago...a Sherpa H100 & Yo-yo K004 great granddaughter. We have managed to keep this famous line going through her mama Melissa Z053 and papa Thor Y052.

Yaudrey Hepburn 2I001, was born movie start quality...big and beautiful! She is a stocky little gal with beautiful markings and a pretty face. She LOVES attention, pets, scratches and to be brushed. She has Dreadlock lines on both sides of her pedigree and should be a pretty big girl for a royal. She is out of our pretty Native Trim cow Yenna R076 and our Royal herd bull Thor Y052. This breeding has been repeated several times and always produced gorgeous sweet tempered babies. I work with lots of local yak ranchers (IYAK members) and can find her a bull calf mate (unrelated) and even add more heifers to create a starter herd. We only ask for 25% down to hold your calf until delivery or pickup in Oct. Once a deposit has been paid you will receive our 5 page Yak Care Guide and Nutrition articles. We deliver within a 150mi radius or can drive and meet and do a trailer to trailer swap. All calves from HCC are IYAK registered as Full Foundation, wormed, vaccinated and accustomed to the human touch. Please call or email Lynda for further information.

Yafa Dora was quite the looker and a product of two famous bloodlines combining both very old and new lines. Her mama Yoyo was 15! and her papa Thor was almost 5! Wish we could have kept her.

Oh sweet Yoki-Doki, the tame daughter of our friendly (Sherpa daughter) Yarrow. Yoki would follow us around like a dog...and loved to be brushed and scratched.

This gorgeous little heifer goes back to the first yaks imported into the USA. Her great, great grandma is the world-famous Queen Allante. Yara-Lago will have nice fiber based on both her sire Thor Y052 and dam Yoseanne 2E132

Little Y'Nonna Judd 2L001, is a pretty girl with a nice triangle head. She should put off a lot of fiber for a Royal. She is a great, great granddaughter of the famous Queen Allante who was imported in the US in the early 80's. Her dam Yoseanne, is a big beautiful Native Trim, and her sire Thor is a gorgeous Royal that is kind, calm and very gentle. The calves these two produce together are as good looking as it gets!

Ya Ya Gabor is a pretty little Royal from our very sweet Yukalaylee. She already seeks out attention and likes to be brushed. She will be an easy keeper for sure, her gentle sire Thor makes this breeding an awesome combination.

Our pretty Yodee Messina 2L005 is out of our favorite cow Yarrow who was the last calf born from Sherpa in 2013 after he died! Since Yarrow was born here, she is more like a pet dog than a yak, she thinks Mike and I are her family (which we are). Little Yodee should turn out really friendly too since both of her parents are so tame and gentle.

Yuchi Guchi 2L006 is tiny now but could turn out to be a good size cow. History has proven when breeding her mama Yahoo Bloo to our herd bull Thor...big things happen. The bulls those two have produced are huge and gorgeous! Yuchi has some impressive lines behind her. She should be tame like her mama who even lets us milk her, Yahoo sire Yanner was born here so we know he was tame as could be.

Yoko 2C002 is huge and gorgeous, just like her mama Yoyo K004 who is a granddaughter of to the famous Sargent Pepper C003. She is IYAK registered, weaned, wormed and vaccinated and ready to go.

Yamber-ree 2C001 is a friendly little royal heifer. She has the Dreadlock lines way back on each side of her pedigree that goes back to the first yaks imported into the US. She is registered, weaned, wormed and vaccinated...all ready to go.

HCC Yenta Telebenta is a cute little royal, likes to be petted and scratched. She is registered, weaned, wormed and vaccinated and all ready to go.

HCC Yoshi Amiibo 2D002 is a good size calf and she is quite friendly. She should produce a good about of fiber as well for a royal. She is registered, weaned, wormed, vaccinated and ready to go.

HCC Yonyx Pearl is a beautiful mix of jet black and pearl white socks. She has Yak Mitochondria just like her mama 2KR Melissa Z053. Yonyx was born here 3/27/24 and of course her sire is our gorgeous Royal HPY Thor Y052. Yonyx was spoken for the day she was born.

HCC Yonay Suave' is a pretty Royal and will be a big girl like her mama! She was born here 3/19/24 to our MVYR Yoseanne 2E132 a gorgeous Imperial Trim and our herd bull HPY Thor Y052. Yonay likes her head, ear and butt scratches and stands good in the squeeze for complete brush outs. She was spoken for the day she was born! *** All our adult yaks are registered with WHYC, so Yonay can be too***

HCC Yumari Maiden 2M004 is a pretty Native Trim just like her mama. She was born here 3/21/24 to our oldest cow HCC Yenna R076 and our handsome Royal herd bull HPY Thor Y052. She is a fuzzy little thing and very social, she just loves attention from us and when we scratch her ears she lays down!

HCC Yayla Rose 2M006, is our very first Black Blanket Royal! She is just beautiful...I love a lot of black on a royal, only her face, tail and legs are white. Yayla was born here 4/2/24 to our sweet royal mama PY1 Yuka-lay-lee A031 and our herd bull HPY Thor Y052. Yayla too is sweet and social, she was reserved the day she was born. *** All our adult yaks are registered with WHYC, so Yayla can be too***

** Sale pending 11/9/25** HCC Yona Lisa is a Royal and was born here 4/9/25. She is as pretty as her name, she is a sassy little girl but should turn out to be a quiet, calm, easy keeper like her mama PY1 Yuka-lay-lee. Her sire Thor Y052 is also very mellow, kind and gentle. Yona should be a good fiber producer too, her grandma HPY Maya won fiber ribbons at the NWSS several years ago. Yuka-lay-lee always surprises us with how much fiber she puts out each year. Yona can be sold with her sisters and other heifers I know of to make a nice starter herd. I can find an unrelated bull calf to go along. Yona Lisa will be registered with WHYC just like his sire Thor YO52 and his dam Yuka-lay-Lee A031. Yolissa is a granddaughter of our famous herd bull Sherpa H100 (who we lost at 14 in 2012). Sherpa was known to be very tame and gentle, and he passed that on to all his calves like Yobama who is the sire to Yolissa. We still get calls today from people looking for the 'Sherpa line'. Yania is a good-looking Native Trim and bigger than the others, she enjoys being petted and scratched and will seek us out for attention. She will be registered with WHYC just like her sire Thor YO52 and his dam Melissa Z053. The World Heritage Yak Conservancy is dedicated to preserving, promoting, and protecting the heritage yak, a critically endangered breed in North America.
