Thor Y052 at 10yrs. old
Thor has been a fabulous addition to the genetics of our herd. He is tame and gentle and passes that onto his offspring as well. His pedigree includes such greats as Dreadlock, Wooly Bully (import) and Queen Allante (import). He is 3/4 wooly so he adds a little fiber to his offspring as well. Thor is an 'Imperial- Royal' meaning he can throw an Imperial Trim which has the black nose. Thor is quite easy to 'work', he LOVES to be brushed and is quite cooperative in the squeeze chute and hea ...

Yoseanne 5/10/20 3yrs old
Yoseanne was the result of careful consideration of replacing a 19 year old cow in our small herd of 8 yaks. We tend to keep our foundation breeding animals through out their whole life, so adding a new heifer takes lots of research. Yoseanne 2E132 is from Tom and Lucy Butler with Mesa View Yak Ranch in Dolores CO. Tom and Lucy bought 2 heifers from us years ago and despite the miles between us we have continued to create breeding pairs or starter herds together for many a new yak rancher. ...

HCC Yohtani MVP is just that, a Most Valuable Player. He was born gorgeous, and at 12 mo. old is almost as big and his mama! He has the silver dorsal stripe, from his sire and grandsire... and comes straight from the lines of the most famous Yak cow in North America... Queen Allante. She is his great, great, great granddam! She was one of the first yak imported into the US and all the DNA tests done to date on yaks was created off her personal DNA.

Yohtani is a friendly boy with striking white markings who will make a huge, impressive herd sire someday, and he likes to be petted and scratched and will stand for light brushing, he will be registered with WHYC just like his sire Thor YO52 and his dam Yoseanne 2E132. The World Heritage Yak Conservancy is dedicated to preserving, promoting, and protecting the heritage yak, a critically endangered breed in North America.

Our goal here at HCC is to only breed and produce the true 'pure' yak, as we have for 24 yrs. No hybrids, no inbreeding. Yohtani will make an excellent Foundation herd sire for the serious yak rancher dedicated to the breed. He is weaned, wormed, vaccinated, well socialized and ready to go. We can create starter herds with the help of local ranchers, please call or email for more info on Yohtani.

*NOTE* I have found registerable heifers to go with Yohtani... call me.
